You Voted, Here’s The Product Of The Year Homecare Products!

on Oct 25, 2017 |

I am so excited to have partnered with Product Of The Year team. I get to share with all of my super-duper readers, wonderful homecare products which have been voted as 2017’s Product Of The Year homecare product winners.     As a wife and Mom of 4 little girls, I drown in dirty laundry, swim in baskets of clean unfolded laundry, and go through rolls of toilet paper like water. Seriously, what happens to all of that toilet paper, do the kids eat it? Geesh.     I balance running a small business, raising little girls and running a somewhat clean and organized household. And I tell you what, without great products such as Downy Fresh Protect With Febreze Odor Defense, Snuggle Plus Superfresh Dryer Sheets, and Charmin Essentials Soft Bath Tissue, my life would be even more of a stinky mess.     So let’s talk dirty laundry. Really, let’s just be completely honest. I HATE doing laundry. It smells, it piles up in a blink of an eye, and I swear I will die next to a laundry machine. I raise girls (10,8,6,4) and they can be just as dirty, if not more dirty, than little boys. My girls love playing outside with all of our animals, we have chickens, a rescued squirrel, 3 dogs, and a hedgehog; so you can just imagine what kind of dirty I am speaking about! Not only do I battle the stinky laundry smells of my littles, but also a husband who works 14 hour shifts in the operating room. Typical clothing odors and stains are one thing, but add in a hospital’s germs and smells, then you are dealing with a completely different entity. Because of my frequent, laundry disasters I am head-over-heels for Downy Fresh Protect With Febreze Odor Defense. This Downy Fresh Protect laundry booster has been voted 2017’s Product Of The Year and now I can see why you voted! This is basically a deodorant for your clothes! Squee, cue the happy tears! Downy Fresh Protect with Febreze Odor Defense is an in-wash booster that infuses your laundry with motion-activated technology to neutralize odors. This product is a part of the new Tide + Downy Odor Defense Collection, a laundry regimen designed to remove odors at...

These Little Debbie Pumpkin Spice Rolls have the perfect ratio of spice cake to frosting. In every Pumpkin Spice Roll bite, you can pick up the flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. The creamy, smooth vanilla frosting compliments each tender bite of spice cake and makes the perfect coffee dipper!     It’s no surprise by now that I LOVE all things pumpkin. I wanted to make a quick and easy dessert featuring Little Debbie Pumpkin Spice Rolls. This simple, easy, elegant, no-bake dessert will knock your socks off and look stunning on your family’s dessert plates this Fall.     No-Bake Pumpkin Spice Rolls Cheesecake Ingredients: 3 boxes of Little Debbie Pumpkin Spice Rolls 1 cup (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened 1 can sweetened condensed milk (15 ounces) 1 cup pumpkin puree 1 container of frozen whipped topping (thawed) 1 tbsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg Caramel sauce (store bought for garnishing)   Special Supplies: Parchment paper 9-10″ spring form pan     Directions: Line the bottom of a spring form pan with a circle of parchment paper. Open and slice each of the Little Debbie Pumpkin Spice Rolls into four circular pieces. In a mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add in sweetened condensed milk, and be sure to scrap the sides of the bowl. Mix until well incorporated and then add in pumpkin puree. Continue beating until smooth and mixed thoroughly. Add in cinnamon and nutmeg. Remove bowl from mixer and with a rubber spatula, fold in whipped topping. Do not beat or the filling will not be light and airy. Pour into Pumpkin Spice Roll lined pan. Fall Scarecrow Pop

Fall Scarecrow Pop

Little Debbie Fall treats and snacks are now available in stores! Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. I love all things that scream autumn. The scents of cinnamon and clove mixed with pumpkins and apples and the intense colors of fall foliage inspire me the most.     Little Debbie Brownie Pumpkins are in stores, and the moment I saw them, I knew what to make! My girls love crafting and getting their hands on any kind of creative activity. I thought it would be fun to turn these tasty, little pumpkin brownies into a build-your-own scarecrow pop. Fun, artsy, and sure to keep your little ones busy for a bit. These also make great centerpieces for the fall dinner table.     My Scarecrow Pops are made of rice cereal treats, fruit leather, shredded wheat cereal, melted chocolate, and Little Debbie Brownie Pumpkins.     Scarecrow Pop Ingredients: Bamboo Skewers (1 per pop) Little Debbie Brownie Pumpkins (1 per pop) Rice cereal treats (store-bought or homemade) Fruit Leather (2 serving rolls per scarecrow) Shredded wheat cereal ( 3-4 pieces per scarecrow) Melted chocolate ( 1/3 cup chocolate chips, melted in microwave)     Directions: Lay rice cereal treat in front of you and cut a 3″ rectangle for the shirt. Remove top sides of the rectangle at an angle to represent shoulders. Slide bamboo stick through the center of cut rectangle. Cut another small 3″ rectangle from rice cereal treats and slice out a triangle at the bottom. This forms the legs. Slide onto bamboo skewer.     Lay fruit leather on top of rice cereal treat cutouts. Rub with hand to get the fruit leather to stick. Using clean scissors, cut along sides of fruit leather to cover front of scarecrow’s body. Cut another 3″ rectangle from rice cereal treats and lay horizontally. Cut the ends off of the rectangle forming two small triangles and one larger (in the center).   Push a small piece of bamboo skewer into a small triangle’s short side, and slide into the body of the scarecrow. Do the same for the other piece.   Lay fruit leather on each arm, rubbing with fingers to secure. Use clean scissors to cut to size.  ...

If you are looking for a fun, family-friendly Halloween activity, then you must plan on visiting Walt Disney World’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! This is a DO NOT miss special event hosted for all ages at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is the perfect, trick or treating venue and it is NOT SCARY! I have a couple of timid children in my family and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a great fit for their shy personalities.         Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is an event hosted by Walt Disney World and requires a special ticket to gain entrance. On Select days, throughout November 1st, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets start at $74.00 per person. The Magic Kingdom closes it’s doors to regular theme park goers and reopens them for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party ticket holders. That’s right! There is a limited number of tickets sold to this Halloween event, so plan accordingly because you don’t want to miss this memorable party.           Costumes are welcomed for the Halloween celebration, but there are some guidelines that Disney requests to ensure everyone’s safety. We saw some really great and cute costumes worn by MNSSHP guests. My girls did chose to wear a cute Halloween tshirt and shorts, just to be comfortable climbing in and out of the rides. Keep in mind that your child and you will be enjoying the rides, be sure to wear costumes that are not to bulky or confining.     To get you in the Halloween spirit, Main Street USA is loaded with Fall and Halloween décor. There are so many amazing photo opportunities and gorgeous backdrops, definitely have your camera ready.       Candy is certainly not running out any time soon at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. My girls came home with their bags filled to the top! The trick-or-treat areas are brightly lit and visibly marked, you won’t have to worry about missing out on any of the goodies Disney has to offer. If you are in need of Allergy-friendly trick or treats, don’t worry because Disney has you covered too!   Allergy-Friendly...
