If you are looking for a fun, family-friendly Halloween activity, then you must plan on visiting Walt Disney World’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! This is a DO NOT miss special event hosted for all ages at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is the perfect, trick or treating venue and it is NOT SCARY! I have a couple of timid children in my family and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a great fit for their shy personalities.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is an event hosted by Walt Disney World and requires a special ticket to gain entrance. On Select days, throughout November 1st, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets start at $74.00 per person. The Magic Kingdom closes it’s doors to regular theme park goers and reopens them for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party ticket holders. That’s right! There is a limited number of tickets sold to this Halloween event, so plan accordingly because you don’t want to miss this memorable party.

Stop in all of the shops on Main Street USA and check out all of the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party specialty items. The sweets are to die for!

You will find wonderfully colorful and bright street vendors everywhere throughout the park. From Mickey Pumpkin Glow Necklaces to Boogey Man glow in the dark novelties, you’re sure to come home with some really adorable Halloween souvenirs.

Nightmare Before Christmas items are always a HUGE hit with the girls…and me!

Costumes are welcomed for the Halloween celebration, but there are some guidelines that Disney requests to ensure everyone’s safety. We saw some really great and cute costumes worn by MNSSHP guests. My girls did chose to wear a cute Halloween tshirt and shorts, just to be comfortable climbing in and out of the rides. Keep in mind that your child and you will be enjoying the rides, be sure to wear costumes that are not to bulky or confining.

To get you in the Halloween spirit, Main Street USA is loaded with Fall and Halloween décor. There are so many amazing photo opportunities and gorgeous backdrops, definitely have your camera ready.

Candy is certainly not running out any time soon at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. My girls came home with their bags filled to the top! The trick-or-treat areas are brightly lit and visibly marked, you won’t have to worry about missing out on any of the goodies Disney has to offer. If you are in need of Allergy-friendly trick or treats, don’t worry because Disney has you covered too!

Allergy-Friendly Experience
Do you have a food allergy? If so, we have a special trick-or-treat experience for you!

When you arrive for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, see a Cast Member to pick up a teal treat bag—the official color of food allergy awareness—after entering the event, or from official Allergy-Friendly Centers at Town Square Theater and Heritage House.

Then, when you trick-or-treat with your teal bag, Cast Members will give you a teal token at each treat station. Later on, you can redeem your teal tokens at our Allergy-Friendly Centers to receive your special treats!

Head to Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square to purchase your Jack Skellington Dessert! This dessert is crazy good and filled with chocolate cake, vanilla buttercream, crushed chocolate wafer cookies, and vanilla panna cotta. Don’t forget the edible white chocolate Jack!

Be sure to grab a Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Map which includes all of the special event shows and parade times. Here is a full description courtesy of Disney’s website:

It’s Fun to Be Bad

The mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s Hocus Pocus return to the mortal world to throw a Halloween party.

With only a few hours to run amuck at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Winifred, Mary and Sarah decide to use their magic to host a decidedly wicked fun fest.

Enlisting the help of the Disney villains, the 3 sisters mix sinister shadows, terrifying nightmares and use the nefarious powers of their frightening colleagues to conjure the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion—and cast a spell on everyone in Magic Kingdom park!

Look for appearances from Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie and Maleficent. Combine them and other great Disney villains with amazing dancers, wild visual projections and otherworldly special effects to make Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular a not-to-be-missed Halloween treat!

Keep an eye open for all of the special Disney character appearances. Their locations are mapped out on MNSSHP map.

My huge Descendants fans couldn’t wait another minute to meet Carlos’ Mom Cruella De Vil.

A Truly Spooktacular Procession

Party with the grim grandmaster of this eerily awesome parade—he’s literally lost his head!

This year at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a hair-raising ride by the Headless Horseman himself begins the festivities, followed by a collection of frightening floats featuring Disney Characters in Halloween costumes.

Prepare for a cauldron of grave-digging delights as the stars of the Haunted Mansion steal the spotlight in this family-friendly parade. Boo-lovers beware—you’re sure to have one scare-tastic time…

And remember: it’s really not so scary; just fiendish fun!

I can assure you that this Fall activity is THE ONE you don’t want to miss. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has made truly, magical memories for my daughters and I. It is a show stopper event and even though my girls were falling asleep on the sidewalk (waiting for the parade), they still were not ready to leave.
